I will not allow my children to walk along an unlit farm road, with no pavement, for almost 3 miles. As a teacher, I can very well imagine the effect this will have on learning and teaching. I certainly would not feel ready to learn having walked 3 miles in the rain.

Keep the school buses but charge something for the weekly pass I understand but keep children safe at all times I'm sure parents and the council can come to some arrangement I know I would pay something towards my child fare for the service

I think it is a disgrace that this is even being considered. For example wihen Earnifk High was knocked down, the council made a commitment to offer buses. If they change that they are going back on their promise. Scandalous!

arethey waiting until a child is injured, attacked goes missing before they reconsider. 3miles is a huge distance for children to walk, has any thought been given to child safety, territorial boundaries kids may have to walk through.

This just cannot happen. A lot of parents do not drive and have other children to drop off at primary school/nursery/breakfast club etc. There is no direct bus link to Cathkin from Drumsagard/Halfway. Children cannot be expected to walk the 2.8 miles there and back.

nit sure howy child I expected to walk 2.8miles and then sit in school wet and tired. How can that give the best opportunitys to pupils to learn and feel comfortable. I would like to see councillors walk from Drumsagard Village to Cathkin High School !!!

Please do not wait until a child is involved in an accident. If any caring parent or grandparent has backed this decision..shame on you.
