Stop Banking Overdraft Fees

We as tax-paying Americans have generously bailed out numerous banks and financial institutions with over $200 billion of our hard earned money. Collectively, these same institutions, and many others, extort nearly $50 billion every year from the most financially strained Americans. If an individual with a checking account writes a check or uses a debit card that results in his or her account to become overdrawn by as little as one penny, the bank imposes a $35 fee. Moreover, the bank will abandon its chronological bookkeeping method once the account becomes overdrawn, and rearrange all pending transactions according to dollar amount, from greatest to least.
