My name is Olga Obando, I live in Orlando, Florida, Im a single mother of two childrens now in college, I lived at Landsbrook Terrace Subdivision since December 1998 until february 29, 2012, Im a cancer patient since 2010 and after two surgeries my situation was very difficult but we tried to keep going on with our house which is in foreclosure, I was very happy after heard President Obama Speeach on January that he will help people to stay in their homes. On July 2011 I received court papers from my HOA, that they wanted to foreclosure the debt that by now has been exagerated plus lawyers fees etc., HOA put a lien on my property when I owed them $400.00 four hundred dollars, I got a letter from HOA lawyers with a court date for 02/14/2012 one week pryor that date a received another letter from HOA lawyers changing date for 02/13/2012 instead, I went with my older dauther, One of HOA lawyers was there too. Orange County Court House Judge accepted and granted all what HOA wanted, We tried to explain the judge that we want to save our house, that HOA was abusing us treating us for long time and we couldnt get any help, nobody wants to deal with HOA laws, that morning the judge signed their request to foreclosure our only home if I don't paid what they were asking, after that I went to see a couple lawyers but again I couldn't get any one to represent me becouse I can not afford their fees. On February28 at 9:45am a women sheriff posted in our door a 24 hours vacancy notice, We were desperate all day, the next morning a man with papers in his hand was at our doors staying that he was the new owner of the property and we have to leave, then the same women sheriff come back on an small private car and said, I put the 24 hours notice on this door yesterday at 9:45 am and now is 11:00 am, and you still here now get out, get out, I said to her I need my clothes my childrens belongings, please, but she insulted us and told that man, the new owner to close the doors and he should not let us in any more, my childrens and I were begging for our things but nobody listen to us, I call one friend and told her please call the news I need help, she did called channel 13 and then channel 9 and no one of them wanted to get involved in HOA issues, now my childrens and I we are homeless meanwhile and investor owns my house and is willing to rent it for 1,500 monthly and he will not paid the mortgage, he just will profit from what was our home. My dauther find out later that my house was sold for $14,000 to this investor. Now my question is Why HOA have the power to do that, to put families in need like us at street and make money from that and the law is in their side, After that day I go to a diferents places looking for answers but I did not find any yet. Please help us, someone please, let make our politicians hear us, HOA laws are done wrongly, everything is in their power, but who can hear our complains agains them, usually is a small group of four or five people becouse the rest of neighbors do not get involve or do not want to get in trouble with their laws, my phone number is 407 293 5590 thank you to everyone.
