Sara Mann | Teachers are having a hard enough time, without pressurising them more. This only gets bounced back onto the kids. There has just been a nationwide advertisment for teachers, so where is the sense now to cut back?

Anonymous | Support provision needs to be increased to benefit all youngsters in our schools.
Stefan Pagel | Education is paramount for the area.

carol-anne bartholomew | kids education should come first not money and numbers !!!
Kerrie Finlay | We need more teachers not less and more support staff. Yet again Highland Council being cheapskates!
James Sibbald | As a member of the Parent Forum foe Gairloch High School I am acutely aware of the impact these cuts will have on the entire community. Our school not only houses the library and leisure centre but has a major impact on the continued growth and survival of the area as many families move to the area because of the standard of education. As we are so remote we cannot liase with other schools, colleges or large companies. Reductions in staffing levels have already meant the loss of 3 core subjects and we fear the return to a time when children had to board in Dingwall to receive a high school education. Distance learning is also hampered by current facilities and simply does not work for many subjects. Please feel free to contact our Parent Council for further imformation as to our unique position.
