| 103 | Donny Macarthur | Education is the key in all walks of life, even survival depends on having been taught to the highest possible standard , look at Africa and see!!
The Councillors in question should think back and imagine where they would be now without proper access to schools and further education.
So why cut back one of the most important assets we have in this field namely teachers and schools. |

| 108 | Victoria King | We owe it to our children to give them the best education possible.
With the economic growth being experienced in the Highlands and the subsequent expansions of our communities, we have to be investing more in our childrens futures, not cutting back! |

| 115 | Anonymous | The idea is ridiculous there arent enough teachers and support workers as there is. My daughter has DCD and needs a support worker and teacher has to take extra time just with her. If this happened her education and those in similar situations would suffer. Class sizes are huge at the moment too so just what are they thinking about!! They wouldnt cut their salaries so dont destroy our eduction system. |

| 119 | Irene Lewis | Education is the most important investment we make. It should be increased, not cut back. |
| 120 | Richard McKendrick | There hgas been a significant cut in front-line services over the past two years - now services targetted at very vulnerable pupils are being drastically cut as they are part f central services - I dare any Highland councillor to stand up in the chamber and state that he is aware that this budget will cut services for pupils with special needs - but that he/she will support the cuts anyway!!
One of the signs of a decent society is their ability and committment to the support and care of the most needy! |
| 121 | Shaun Foster | Any cuts to education are a bad thing in the light of a curriculum for excellence and the proposed widening of the provision expected from schools |
| 122 | Steven MacGregor | There are so many other areas of local government spending which should be looked at first. Our school has 52 pupils (and growing) and is being earmarked to lose a teacher. I thought that the trend was towards smaller class sizes not bigger. |
| 123 | Anonymous | its a disgrace that schools are being cut. education is vital to our children to give them a good chance in life. |
| 124 | Corrinda Farmer | Our schools are suffering enough without cutting teaching staff. |
| 125 | Anonymous | Why is Scottish Government increasing primary teacher training places in university and promising smaller class sizes at the same time as Local Government is cutting primary teaching positions which is having the effect of increasing class sizes?
My daughter has completed almost 6 years in University and 1 year as a probationer just to struggle to get a job in her home town and to worry constantly about her future and her mortgage. |
