| 65 | Anonymous | I think that in this day and age we should be looking to help improve the standard of eductaion for the future tax payers. Instead we are going back to old school and are going to land the country with yet more asbos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| 66 | Anonymous | Very concerned about the effect this will have on samll rural schools. Also as a secondary teacher - where are the smaller classes coming from then?? Cutting the teachers and promising smaller class sizes - the SNP haven't a clue!!!! |
| 67 | Anonymous | strongly agree, what about the teachers that will be left without jobs - its already a bit of a nightmare for a newly qualified teacher getting a job as they are competing with 'cheaper' probationers. This has to be addressed |

| 69 | Alison Cairns | any efficiency savings/review need to take into account the administration of these services from the centre. |
| 70 | Claire Hannah | Our children are our future and we must continue to invest in them for the best value possible |
| 71 | Donnie Mackay | The Highland Council proposal is ludicrous at a time when smaller class sizes are being proposed at a national policy level, and it is discriminatng to small remote rural communities. |
| 72 | Karina Gent | So many people will be affected, its a stupid idea to close so many schools |

| 74 | Anonymous | Get your priorities sorted - education and health should be top of the list. |

| 76 | Captain Andrew Clark | As a school chaplain very active in schools in the highlands I fundamentally disagree with the lack of investment in eduction in this area. If Scotland is to have a secure future, if the Highlands are to have a secure future, then education must continue to be at the centre of the government's budget.
yours sincerely

We are already underfunded in my school and have a dire lack of learning support auxiliaries to work with children with additional support needs. This puts a lot of pressure on teachers to cope with looking after pupils in a lesson when they need extra support. Now we have to lose members of staff as well.
Do councillors realise how difficult it has been to get teachers in Highland? It is difficult to attract good staff up from the rest of Scotland, this latest cut in numbers is hardly going to help recruitment in the future.
I've also heard that ALL HIGHLAND SCHOOLS need to find a saving of 3%in their staff budget this year. What a disgraceful attitude to a core service of local government. |

| 83 | Alison Ross | With the current drive to increase gym for all school pupils yet cut gym teachers and music teachers so that our primary teachers have to give gym and music lessonsit is an absolute disgrace that we can even consider cutting our teaching staff |
| 84 | Cameron Ross | |
| 85 | Graham Beaven | |
| 86 | Chris Conniff | These cuts will be severely felt in remote rural schools where the teachers are not only part of the school itself but an important part of the whole community. Good, motivated teachers are vital to rural prosperity. These cuts will be a disaster. |
| 87 | Anonymous | I am a probationer teacher and this news is very demoralising! |
| 88 | linda malik | Its a disgrace in this day that childrens education is not a top priority. They are the future and I believe that charity begins at home if they want cuts look into other areas such as giving money to others. How can they keep cutting and not have it eventually impact on the children? |

| 98 | Anonymous | What is being suggested is ridioculous! how do they expect chilren to learn, or teachers to cope with these numbers of children, in multi stage classes! i'd love to know who, from an educational background, advised these cuts! |
| 99 | Anonymous | how can they suggest such a stupid thing, and say it won't affect education?? |
| 100 | Grant Bremner | I Think it is a shame the Power went to Inverness.
The old local system ment the council kept in touch with local opinon.Keep up the support for teachers and support staff. |
