| 16651 | Celia Young | Working 2 miles south of Hounslow in a health related job I am totally shocked by the amount of clients that that have chronic lung conditions compared with in other boroughs I have worked.
The third runway must NOT go ahead. |

amy bokenham | This is absolutely the wrong thing for london - and it angers be intensely that there has been no real consultation - either in parliament or with londoners.

Anonymous | All the reasons given for expansion so far are unconvincing. If there is a genuine need for expansion of flying capacity in the UK, why does it have to be centred on Heathrow and London? I fear a massive air accident is waiting to happen.
Antonia Nedebock | In 2007 residents affected by Heathrow airport received a long and difficult public consultation questionnaire from the Department of Transport asking our views on airport expansion and changes to the operation mode. The vast majority objected to any expansion at all and the introduction of mixed mode operation to increase capacity. Most people did not believe that pollution or noise limits could be met by the proposed plans either. But why even ask when the outcome has no effect whatsoever and gets completely ignored? Profit over people is all it is these days. www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/aviation/heathrowconsultations/heathrowdecision/responses/

Deric King | Why?? Lets think outside of Heatrhow area and look for a new airport location. Thames estuary lets revisit that. What about Manston? if you want create jobs and infrastructure this is the place.
Holly T Burrows |
Becky Sumerling | The third runway represents a devastating step towards inevitable runaway climate change; we need to invest in rail links and drastically cut flights, especially those which are short-haul, rather than expanding the airport.
neal & iris moss | Disgraceful, communities must not be destroyed
janet woodhall | It is ludicrous to ask the people of this country to go green when the actual government is pursuing to add more pollution over our skies.

Lisa Pinchen | It is unbelievable that how shortsighted people are, OK it may benefit the country in the short term but who is going to mop up the disasterous mess of the increased CO2 emmissions and the effects that causes and noise pollution - our kids!!!

Tim Weisselberg |
Jon Butler | At the same time as the government is urging us to recycle more and come up with clever ways to reduce our carbon footprint... they appear to be pressing on with a massive expansion in air-travel, the economic uplift of which is doubtful to say the least. Not in my name.
Alan Duffell | In this time of concern for the environment and commitment to reduce carbon emissions, the decision to go ahead with a third runway is gobsmackingly incoherent. That is why I lend my support to the campaign.
Alison Rycroft |
vahe manoukian | air taffic is bad enough at heathrow and one should look alternative areas and sights for expansion.

massimo benedetto | heathrow already very busy as it is
Jonathan Mock | Not only is the new runway an appalling act of hypocrisy by a government that mouths platitudes about being green, but in destroying an entire village and forcibly relocating 3000 people its an appalling attack on our basic freedoms.
Clare Homer | No more expansion. How many more bloody runways does this small island need!!!!!
