And there is absolutely no need for domestic flights or short-haul (e.g. Paris, Brussels, Cologne) where high speed rail alternatives exist. Aviation cannot simply be allowed to expand as much as the airlines wish, otherwise it makes a nonsense of cutting emissions elsewhere. |
