AnonymousSimple question to the planners, instigators and polititcians regarding Cherry Lane Cemetary. How would YOU feel sitting at a desk literally drawing on a piece of paper the proposed road plan over the grave of YOUR wife, child, husband, brother, sister. Think about it , think ! .... I'm sure they don't have to.

Janette JacobsIt is a disgrace that anyone can even think of building on Cherry Lane Cemetery. My Brother worked in the Airport and passed away in 2002. My Sister-in-Law choose Cherry Lane Cemetery so that their 5 year old Son and family could visit regularly. This is no way to respect the local community as well as many hard working local airport workers (or former workers). I wonder how many of the people involved in the decisions have loved ones buried in this cemetery?

Anonymous45% of UK fights are under 500km........... Stop those fight and put all those passengers on trains and coach = No need for airport expansion + Dramatically decrease in Greenhouse gasses + Heathrow area falls "back under" leagal limit!
Barbara RingWe have 100 months to make a difference to climate changes - expanding air travel is criminal in the face of the terrible legacy we are leaving the next generations

Brett ArcherI have a baby son buried at cherry lane. Its discusting that these so called bigwigs can disregard such a sensitive location. Airports arnt such a bad thing and yes we do need them but If they can go ahead and force people to sell land in already squeezed suburbs then why cant they do it in a more rural setting

James SmithIt's a total discrace what they want to do, i love that cemetery. It's somewhere i can go that makes me feel close to my dad and they want to take that away. Lets all stand together in this and beat these people!

Daniel EyreNo need to destroy more of the local urban communities. Why not greatly expand Stanstead and improve its transport links instead?
antonella trovatoWe live in Fulham and the noise of the aircrafts is already unbearable! The number of flights at Hethrow should be reduced not increased.
GIANCARLO SALLIER DE LA TOURtoo much noise.too much pollution.
M AstonIn an ever changing climate, and with our over consumption of natural resources we have to develop new travelling stratergy's. To destroy our peoples resting places in exchange for more pollution is both ethically and morally wrong. Improve transit links to airports throughout the country and share the profit fat cat!

AnonymousTo expand heathrow goes against everything that people are trying to do to help prevent global warming, why is the government going to allow this to happen?

AnonymousI live in Cippenham. Since Terminal 5 opened I have noticed a MARKED INCREASE in frequency of plaines going over but more worrying is the level of noise has increased, the plane noise is louder and lasts longer.
tony pricehaving read other people's comments on here over the proposed expansion at heathrow, it is with utter - DISGUST that i find myself having to sign this petition and comment....in the first place! - i.e...IT SHOULDN'T HAVE EVEN GOT THIS FAR, its beyond me that the government, baa etc - all the people involved in making these imorral decisions that started all this, that they didn't take one look at the proposed area, see that there is a cementry there and COMPLETELY abandon the idea STRAIGHT AWAY without a second thought and look for another site. its simply UNCOMPREHENDABLE that such an idea is being taken seriously and by people who OBVIOUSLY havn't got any ' LOVED ONES ' there them selfs. Having both my mother and father buried there and having lived in hayes all my life and currently working for the council.....du know..... sometimes there comes a time to forget about the politics, forget about the money ( profits ) forget about BUSINESS...and bloodywell do whats ethical and principly correct. There ARE other ways around this and 15,000 signatures all agree that digging up people's loved one's and moving them to somewhere in London or where ever you think your taking them to...... IS WRONG - its disgusting, imorral and down right barbarric....( and how do we know that if we were to VISIT OUR LOVED ONE'S at their new location..... that its actually THEM? ) We only have your word for it that the logistics of the operation....went..... ACCORDING TO PLAN, after all..... its not YOUR family........IS IT !!!! DISGUSTED WITH THIS, NO WONDER THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO ' FAITH ' IN OUR GOVERNMENT
