Georgina Guy | Never has a proposed plan been such a blatently stupid idea with nothing but business interest and consumer satisfaction at the heart of it. There are more important things in life.

Dr Ulrich Loewer | Expand Gatwick and connect it to Heathrow via a high-speed train link
Victoria Loewer | Expanding Heathrow with impact on more than 3 million people is ridiculous, while we have other airports much further outside of London.
Mia Elizabeth Loewer | When I'm grown up I don't want to see more planes than birds in the sky!

Suzanna Collis | Am totally against expansion. Please support us.
Emma Curzon | The proposed third runway will bring an intolerable quantity of planes flying over some of the most beautiful parts of London and England. Planes every 90 seconds will totally blight them. First and foremost, Heathrow should be made to function efficiently as it is. The daily quality of life of London residents should take precedence over the brief convenience of travellers and foreigners passing through .

Kaiyan Chen | We are asking too much from the land!
Matthew Geraghty | Fuel price has sharply increased, there are less airline can survive. Do we really need 6th terminal? Let's think
Karen Penny | It is outrageous that BAA, whose sole purpose in expanding Heathrow is to maximise its shareholder's profits, may be allowed to detrimentally affect so many people's lives with pollution, noise and congestion with this Government's blessing.

Mirella de Jonge | with chartered flight numbers in decline, and NHS waiting lists rapidly increasing, I would anticipate that the money factored for airport expansion anywhere (including Heathrow) could be better spent on treating sick people... no?

Anonymous | I am utterly against the expansion of Heathrow Airport and all the increased pollution it would bring when we have only 10 years to stop climate change
| 15437 | michelle whittaker | No!
Where is the common sense!
If this goes ahead then it will never end! |
Anonymous | I live in the Oval area and I can't stand night flights, planes seem to fly lower and to be noisier or it is may be just a feeling. I can't imagine the noise people who live nearer to the airport have to suffer. Furthermore with the oil crisis, people will travel more environmentally friendly ( HOPE SO ) meaning less long fights for short stay and then the demand in increasing the number of flight is irrelevant.
Eileen Edmondson | In view of the dire threat to the planet from increasing carbon emissions, it is sheer madness to encourage more flights by further airport expansions anywhere. Yet again we see concern about profits taking precedence over the need to safeguard the environment for future generations.
annika sagen | i do believe in more greener ways of travelling instead expanding heathrow and destroying peace for local people
V Ruiz | No more new aircraft noise - Heathrow is big enough - no expansion is needed...
Anonymous | Living in South Kensington/Fulham as a student, I get woken up by almost every plane and studying is made impossible with the "wrong" wind.
Bruno Boulanger | Time to stop this nonsense.

Valerie Levaux | I live in East London, far away from the airport you would think but still the continuous noise of planes turning above us is impacting the quality of life of my family.

Anonymous | I live under the flight path of Heathrow and the increased number of flights days and night is threatening us all We cannot go on increasing the number of flights. I do not want another M25 above my head.
