Dolphins are highly intelligent creatures and deserve our respect. And it is not just dolphins, but a multitude of other species whom we are wantonly hunting. One of these days our destruction of wildlife is going to come back and bite us in the ass. Japan, please curb your craving for exotic foods and realise that these creatures are beautiful animals that do not deserve the brutality that you inflict on them. They cannot defend themselves against men from the 21st Century and we must therefore respect their right to live in peace and try to protect them from poachers rather than condone their slaughter. Hopefully you will realise your folly, before its too late.Flag

Name: Ed Hickman on Mar 28, 2007Comments: It has been only minutes since I struggled through watching a vomit-provoking video on dolphin massacre in Japan and I have briefly considered many points. Previously I was completely oblivious to these inhumane and incompassionate rituals (for only damn FOOD to make it "taste" better...) and i am determined something should be done. I am truly disgusted by these Japanese antics- do they have no conscience over there The main culprits are the consumers of the meat - they need to realise what goes on in order to get their meal and see the light! The Japanese government claims to be promoting environmental activism ("save the environment" and in our environment live these massively intelligent creatures which are being tortured for food and then their blood POLLUTES the sea - the Red Sea in between Africa and Saudi Arabia should be renamed as the Japan Sea and the Pacific Ocean are truly the Red Seas......There is a unique relationship between humans and dolphins but this companionship is most likely vanishing. There have been real stories of dolphins saving humans' lives e.g. from shark attack etc and this is how mankind repays these superiorly intelligent creatures by slaughtering their families. YES- they feel love, and an array of different emotions which humans also experience- they grief for the loss of a family member and will not abandon an injured loved one. They are not so dissimilar to us! Of course there will be arguments for this to continue but ultimately (after evaluating the situation whilst writing this) I believe that these acts cannot be justified.......It MUST stop!!! Please follow us and petition against this NOW!!Flag

A video on youtube mention some violation of a treaty. If so, military intervention would be acceptable...but...that would only cause a war...and no amount of petitions are likely to sway the hearts of the corupt bastards in the Japanese government or whoever is responsible for this horrendous and despicable crime.
