Name: Amy Herzog on Jan 5, 2008Comments: I will both boycott and discourage my many pet-owning friends from giving any business to Pet Ranch as long as they continue their inhumane and antisocial treatment of dogs as nothing more than a commercial means of making money.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 5, 2008Comments: Pet "ranches" are very inhumane for dogs. Dogs are social animals. And, they love human contact. While dog to dog contact is not bad, it does not offer the nurturing and basic health and nutrition We should be a society of support and caring. This issue is critical.Flag

Name: Jane Kemp on Jan 5, 2008Comments: I support the effort to stop The Pet Ranch from purchasing and sell dogs. Every day I drive past the Burnsville Center and do the majority of shopping at this mall. I will not make one more purchase at the Burnsville Center until they take action against this puppy mill enabler.Flag

Name: Lisa Turner on Jan 5, 2008Comments: I will be unable to support the shopping center until they do something about the Pet Ranch's practices. the pug is more expensive there than it would be from a breeder, and odds are in favor it's from a puppy mill.Flag

Name: Kristiana Hengel on Jan 5, 2008Comments: To the management of Burnsville Center, Every educated person knows that dogs sold in pet stores come exclusively from puppy mills. Every retail establishment interested in keeping its customer base has moved away from allowing dogs, puppies, cats and kittens to be sold at retail under their roof. The word is out about the "Pet Ranch" in the Burnsville Center and the boycot and protest will continue to grow. Sincerely, Kristiana HengelFlag

Name: Tami Simon on Jan 5, 2008Comments: It's sad to see how lonely they look. Also, when I was there last, I saw dog poop smashed in on of the puppy's hair and all over his display box. It was dried up and looked like it was there for a while.Flag

Name: Wendy OBrien on Jan 5, 2008Comments: Please stop the buying these poor puppies from puppy miils and keeping them caged up all day! And than charging an unreal amount of money for them that you know you will never get, so therefore these poor animals stay in cages for even longer!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 6, 2008Comments: Please don't sell pets. Those of us that do rescue know the breeders who supply the pups are not responsibly breeding, and there is no socialization of the pups. Many pet store puppies end up in rescue when they develop severe health issues, behavior issues, or the impulse buyers decide the cute puppy is too much work. Puppies should only be sold by responsible breeders willing to take the pup back if a problem comes up.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 6, 2008Comments: To Burnsville Center: Do you have any sense of humanity within yourself Or is everything about profit If you allow this to proceed their will be animals SUFFERING. Do not do this - there are already enougn animals in pain in shelters today / put to rest early due to the lack of care that an association such as yours does in your act of gross reproduction for profit.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 6, 2008Comments: The best thing that could happen would be to have this chain stop selling animals altogether. If that can not happen, the minimum that needs to happen is that these animals need humane conditions to live in.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 6, 2008Comments: I have purchased a dog in the past from Pet Ranch, it had congenital defects, and the vet was certain it was a mill dog. I purchased it out of pity for the conditions in which it lived. I will boycott B'ville Center, which is where my family has always shopped, until Pet Ranch is not selling puppies in those conditions, from mills. I will take my business to stores at MOA and E.P. center until then.Flag

Name: Kerry Bing on Jan 6, 2008Comments: The owners purchase these animals for about $25 -50. They sell these animals for an extreme markup, which is all profit in their pockets. These animals are kept in cages that are encased with feces. The animals are not given any social interaction. Hence, when someone buys a pet from this store there usually is some medical problem that does not show up until later in the animals life. Most people can not afford to pay for extreme medical issues and then the animal is given to a rescue, Humane Society or euthanized.Flag

We spend an average of $500/ month on clothing, gifts and decor - if you want our business back, please do the right thing and forbid the resale of dogs and cats at your location.
