| 151 | Lisa Heaton | The City of Kingston's Planning Board really needs to listen to it's citizens and respect t Washington Ave. as a historic corridor. It will hurt existing businesses in the area; this is not wise or well thought out for the overall integrity of our city. |

| 153 | Rick Stone | As an Uptown business owner, I absolutely prefer that the city focus on helping existing, struggling Uptown businesses rather than to contribute to suburban sprawl and unnecessary addition of more box stores to the Kingston area. And more: the proposed Intermodal Transportation Center represents a tremendous forward-thinking possibility that completely eclipses the level of benefits provided by yet another big pharmacy in the city. |
| 154 | Jeanne Englert | |
| 155 | Julie H. Jordan | I agree with the above petition |
| 156 | sean mackowiak | There are already way too many pharmacies in Kingston! I mean it is mostly a senior citizen haven, but come on!
I was a Democrat for for 25 years but left the party a few years ago (and joined the Green Party) because of the corruption of Mayor Sottile and Mike Madsen. These guys are so crooked, they have to screw their pants on in the morning. Disgusting!
I swear I will leave this sinking village the first chance I get. Unfortunately, i bought a house here and am stuck for the time being (but now spend most of my time in Manhattan). Word about Kingston and it's corruption is spreading across the state.
This town needs an enema! |
| 157 | Beth Gillis | Last thing we need is another "drugstore" in this town. |
| 158 | Maria Loeffel | No CVS pharmacy/convenience store! |
| 159 | Gary Loeffel | there is enough outsourcing going on in the united state so I believe in supporting your locally "run and owned" stores.
why bring in more chain stores when we have local stores? |
| 160 | heidi sheasby | enough with the pharmacies!!! |
| 161 | Julie Hedrick | |
| 162 | andrew kirschner | How about a local food coop or some other community oriented biz!!! |

| 166 | Anonymous | I applaud this petition and I strongly support the intent. I strongly oppose the selling of Kingston for short term gain and concurrent destruction of an important and well respected pharmacy. I know that the doctors speak very highly of Nekos-Dedricks |
| 167 | Todd Langon | Yes........many of you are true in your beliefs, but how many will stand with me when it counts. You may know me , but I am the one who goes on TV and takes on the machine. I'm the one who is usually standing alone taking the shots from above. This is just one issue of many and I have to say I enjoy reading the passion. It is time to take back KINGSTON. Get off the sidlines and into the game. We are the hub of services but does that mean our economic balance sits in the hands of medicaid. I'm all for hands up but not hand outs. 43.6% of children in Kingston school Dist are on subsadized food programs. What does that say about your economics. We need to establish a clearer communication to city hall through the people. Not our elected officials. Who are supposed to be our voice. When was the last time Bob Senor held a town square meeting in ward 8 to listen to our views. He is to busy trying to change zoning laws and doing whats best for a few business owners on the strand. He speak for us and he knows nothing of what we want. Now Ms. DeBella wants to build homeless shelters. Nice moral high road after she helped shut one down.
I will be throwing my hat in the ring again in ward 8 and I want any and all people of kingston to come and speak with me. If you would like to come on TV and express your views let me know. Together we will make a differance........... By the way did Bob Senor sign this....Hmmmmmmm |
| 168 | Bill Reynolds | We don't need it! In addition to hurting the Kingston Plaza and Nekos-Dedericks, it will uglify that corner and further tie up traffic. |
| 169 | Philip Gurrieri | We are at the FORK IN THE ROAD, either we speak up now or wait until we once again emerge in the womb of our future mothers-to-be.......
Kingston has neither a Mayor nor a Planning Board!!! |

| 172 | Ed Pell, Ph. D. | Enough. Another pharmacy is not needed. Plant a tree. |

| 184 | Scott E. Davies | I moved to Kingston from Poughkeesie 20 years ago because of its superior historic character. Unfotunately Kingston is ruining its unique character with junky developments like the planned CVS. |
| 185 | Brian Brown | I am back visiting Kingston.I graduated from KHS and was dismayed to see the slow progress being made to update and renew this city. I hear that a CVS is going in on one of the busiest corners and a gateway into historic stockade. How foolish is that. I have been away since 1997and the first thing I notice after getting off the thruway circle was a boarded up gas station!! Not an attractive depiction of the city. Then I drive by E.Chester St. & Broadway and see a mess of a corner lot. My impression is a lot of incomplete projects and lack of a cohesive plan. Not to mention poor planning which seems to be in place at the present. I too am one of the many graduates of KHS who had to leave the city to make a living after graduating from college. It was a great place to grow up in but not economically feasible to reside here and a major chainstore employment opportunities cannot sustain anybody in this area. |
| 186 | Lisa Fan | Saw the petition in a local store while in Kingston and decided to sign online petition. |
| 187 | Ben Brown | I too saw the petition in a store on N.Front St. |
| 188 | Rick Whelan | |
| 189 | michael a hayes | |
| 190 | Pamela Blum | We do not need another hideous box pharmacy, esp. as it would compete with existing pharmacies. |
| 191 | Ed Pell, Ph.D. | All
Moratorium needed now without exception or exclusion |
| 192 | Philip Gurrieri | At what point do we say enough is enough & concentrate on building an economy instead of accepting rhe first one to knock on the door with deep pockets - yes, I mean LEGAL drug pushers!
To the seller - you bought the containated adjoining property & now us to bail you out!
What is not right with this picture? |
