We, the undersigned residents of Superior, Colorado, are opposed to Richmond Homes building 38 homes on the parcel adjacent to the Eldorado K8 school on the corner of Indiana and W. Torreys Peak. In this economy we do not need any more homes, additional crowding in our schools, increased traffic flow on our streets or additional drainage problems. We are already pressed with problems related to traffic and the safety of our school children, and easing these problems, not abetting them, should be a top priority for the town. We are extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the way the Town of Superior Board of Trustees has handled this issue. Only residents within 500 feet of the parcel were notified about this proposal. However, this affects everyone in the community. We ask the Town Board to put the interests of our school children and our community first, and to oppose residential development on this land.

I was just looking at the count and we are crawling toward that 250 mark which really needs to happen before the next board meeting if we want them to take us seriously. If you could just send this link to a few neighbors who might not know about the plan for the school block it would be huge because I am honestly tired of seeing the board ignore us like this.

Seriously? 500 feet? That is a joke. The whole town should have had a say in how our school zone gets used.

Fix the existing drainage and traffic issues before even thinking about adding 38 more houses. This is just asking for a bad accident.

Ridiculous idea. Our schools are totally packed as it is. Stop building when the infrastructure cant handle it.

I moved here for the small town feel. This is just overcrowding our neighborhoods for no reason other than profit.

KEEP THE HOMES AWAY FROM THE SCHOOL. Too much traffic and not enough space.

The traffic at that intersection is already a nightmare during drop off. We dont need more cars backing up right next to the school doors.
