Jeff S. McLarty | Barnardsville | This is probably for the contract to widen the highway, also a bad idea.

Elaine Lite | Asheville | Another 'development' atrocity in our county. This should not even have had to go this far. Hoping common sense and sanity will prevail at the hearing Wed.

Patrick Hanaway | Weaverville | I drive by this area with my kids every day. Increased traffic in this area WILL lead to increased accidents. There is only one North-South corridor through this region, so it will have an impact on everyone's lives - but only a select few will benefit from it financially. Please consider these points in your decision. Thank you!
| 159 | Frances Stroud PhD | Weaverville NC | This area of NC has been designated in a NC Climate Control report and on a map published by the US Dept of Agriculture as the driest spot south of Virginai and east of the Mississippi. Most do not realize this and it is not taken into consideration in planning for any type of develo[pment in this area. There is even a rumor that this fact re rainfall in this area is a myth or a rumor. It is not. All one must do is check a copy of the US Dept of Agriculture map at the Buncombe County Dept of Water and Soil Conservation and the NC Climate Control map.
Further, I am 70 years old am worried regarding the impact of the resulting air contaminants upon my health as well as the health of the children in abundance in the area as well as the other significant number of the area and the populatiobn as a whole. How can the health and the danger presented to humans not be the top priority? |
Daniel Biggs | Weaverville | As someone that has each member of my family traveling through this intersection each day school is in session, I have serious concerns for their safety if additional traffic is introduced to this area. Beyond the obvious environmental and traffic load issues, allowing this permit would be poor judgement on behalf of the Board of Adjustment.

Sherri McKinney | Weaverville | Please stop this concrete plant from coming!!!!
Randy McKinney | Weaverville | Putting a concrete plant on Murphy Hill Road will create a dangerous situation for the school traffic, especially the school buses.
Richard Riddle | Weaverville | I am against this because it will endanger my grandson.
Rebecca Welch | Weaverville |
Anonymous | Barnardsville, NC 28709 | No Concrete plant on Murphy Hill Rd.
Roger Hutchins | Weaverville | I am opposed to this plant for many reasons. This is a residential area full with 4 schools. Traffic volume is very high and this is a narrow curving road. It is also going to be in my back yard and this is not acceptable. I have serious health concerns for my child. The enviroment is another issue. Why do we need another plant 2 miles from the current plant? There are much better suited areas to build this plant. It's unfortunate that this public hearing is being held in the middle of the day when most people are at work. Very convenient actually. Please take time to visit this area and make the right decision. Vote NO.

Christine Grant | Weaverville | I am deeply concerned for the safety and welfare of abutters to this project. The air quality will deteriorate, there will be heavy dangerous traffic and incredible noise. The danger to cars entering the highway and the packed school buses travelling to and from the four schools in the area is considerable.

Janet Hargette | Weaverville | This area is heavily traveled by children on their way to school. It will also be an eyesore and a noise issue for an area that is trying to remain residential.
A. A. Lloyd | Asheville | Although not in the immediate neighborhood affected, I am concerned about adding pollutants to the already polluted air of WNC.
