Once again, global leaders have proven that self interest is more important than the future security of mankind - and for the global flora and fauna that we are the custodians of. Copenhagen was rife with political vaccilators and flaccid zero-heroes. It is great to know that OUR politicians did not have OUR best interests at heart. Overwhelming action which is required NOW was suborned for the sake of securing continued economic growth. The continued welfare of future generations was not-so delicately side-stepped - exposing the self serving style of several countries who, because of their size, will destroy us completely when they truly come on line with the full polluting potential of their industries. What OUR leaders failed to mention is that climate change will mean no bees, no pollination, no reproduction, no biodiversity, no future full of possibilities - and the absolute guarantee of us passing on to our progeny the worse kind of inheritance, the possible end of the human race. And most of all, climate change WILL MEAN NO ECONOMIC GROWTH! It is a sad day indeed when we put up with the rhetoric of recalcitrant countries who stall negotiations because of their aim not to stall the growth of their heady economic engines. What has humanity come to when what we must do cannot be done because it cannot contribute to economic growth? OUR POLITICAL LEADERS HAVE FAILED US, AND WILL CONTINUE TO FAIL US. WE NEED TO TAKE ACTION. This petition is aimed at making a clear statement to governments all over the world that WE WANT TO STOP CLIMATE CHANGE NOW. For our sake, the sake of our children, and their children's children, and for the sake of human kind, please sign this petition as a clear statement that CLIMATE CHANGE IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.
