Comments: Please don't do any more clear cutting or cutting of any old growth. Selective cutting is the way to go, without further harming what is left. We expect you to live up to your word.

Comments: The majority of my community holds the strong belief that our natural surroundings are the greatest teachers of what is important about our existence. Clear cutting, a for-profit method, is an absolutely non-resilient practice. Many companies have set outstanding examples in responsible, sustainable timber practices, including the recycling of timber products. Thus, Green Diamond's intention will mark an act of refusal to acknowledge progress in both our culture and our economy.

Comments: Clear-cutting is obviously detrimental to the forest environment but what is often overlooked is the extent to which such actions also impact the river, estuary and ocean environments nearby. Everything on this little blue marble we call home is connected and the consequences of our actions reach far in both space and time.
