Very soon now, unless enough community members respond, Green Diamond will clear-cut whole areas around Strawberry Rock. A closer look at this company exposes the truth of how their "Even-aged management plan" is just another name for clear-cut tree plantations, all over our forested mountains from Washington to California. The greatest respect for our precious Trinidad area must be shown through the process of transparency toward avoiding any practices proving detrimental to our homeland . Green Diamond's invasive practices of clear-cuts must be exposed and stopped. Why would Green Diamond even file a harvest plan right along the trail in an area informally adopted by the community a sacred Yurok tribal site and frequented by thousands for ages?

Reaching this point has been exhausting but seeing this level of community backing gives me the energy to keep going. We have proven that the people refuse to watch our sacred landscape get destroyed by corporate greed.

Green diamond needs to be stopped. They dont care about anything but their bottom line. Protect our mountains.

Cant believe this is even being considered. That area is special to the whole community. Find somewhere else to cut.

Absolutely shameful. Keep the loggers away from sacred land. We need to respect the yurok people and the forest.

This is so heartbreaking. Leave the trees alone for once. People come here to escape the city and enjoy nature not look at a giant stump field.
