   Comments: I fully support this action call, The actions taken at this party were horrid, and showed no humanity what so ever, I personally feel those that tormented Tusker/dustbin should be held accountable or the animal abuse that was committed, against him, sadly Tusker paid with his life, for running away from car's that were bumping into him, as well as the firecrackers thrown at him, the beer bottles, being hit on his body and having tail hairs pulled out, Personally I think that needs to be addressed as well as the park violations, I ask you nay I beg you to put a stop to this behavior, So no other animal there in Kariba has to face a death sentence for the stupidity and cruelty of man. Not allowing these parties is the right thing to do, please keep in mind that Tusker has not nor will he be forgotten, and these actions have centered the worlds eyes on you. So show us your fellow humans that you are able to show compassion where it is most needed. thank you.

   Comments: What was allowed to happen here that New Years Eve is a shame and a disgrace, showing a total lack of compassion for the park, and total disrespect of the Government of Zimbabwe and its laws. I hope and pray that you will see that these arty goers have shed a horrible light on your country, show the world this is not what Zimbabwe is about, that you can and will do what is right, enforcing existing laws and new ones to protect the life in your park great and small. If for nothing else do this not because I ask but because it is the right thing to do. Signed In Memory Of Tusker Tormented at Kariba Park New Years Eve, then shot and killed on Jan 6th 2008 as a result of running away from cars that were hitting him, and damaging them in his attempt to flee.

    Comments: Tusker was murdered in cold blood. These insane parties, and all mass gatherings must be banned from wildlife reserves!! The animals habitat are taken from them and they are left only the reserves, and then mass parties, fireworks etc. take place on these reserves! Then they shoot the animals that were disturbed and provoked. So infuriating. Poor dear Tusker.

    Comments: How in good conscience can a Union of likeminded people allow its members to harrass and bring about the death of any animal within the National Park The death of this elephant could have been prevented. May your office bearers take this to heart and think long and hard about their complicity. Lawlessness, disregard for the life of others seems to be a hallmark of Zimbabwe's people, yet I know that each individual is just like you aor me, why is it that in the repressive environment compassion, care for others and any sense of duty-to-right goes out the window, and stupitdy, care-lessness and lawlessness reighn Please make every effort to ensure a) your members and the people who attend your NYE parties do so OUTSIDE of a NP, and that education on proper behaviour in relation to animals is set down to each of them.     Comments: I think there should be a complete ban on all parties in wildlife areas, not just New Year parties. I also think that those who were present at the party should be charged with inflicting cruel treatment on an animal. I find the notion of holding a loud party in a wildlife area totally bizarre!

    Comments: If all the beasts were gone, men would die from a great lineliness of spirit, for whatever happens to the beasts also happens to the man. All things are connected. Whatever befalls the Earth, befalls the sons of the Earth. This quote is so absolutely true. I can only say to the people concerned in living a life against the spirit of the earth, beware, remember Sodom, Gomorah and the Great Flood. Do not think for one minute it did happen. For it only takes less than one second for a massive storm, earthquake, tsunami, plague or fire to begin its destructive journey. Just because many do not see an Almighty God in the creation of this earth, does not mean that the Almighty Spirit is nor ready to strike when necessary. True happiness and peace begins within ourselves by respecting all of creation before catering to our own greedy satisfaction.
