We the people-the people being students, parents, teachers, educators and concerned citizens -oppose the appointment of an unqualified individual in this case named Cathie Black to be chancellor of New York city schools without input by the community. This appointment being an affront to all people who treasure education and our children. Appointing an unqualified person to head education is like giving a scalpel to an unqualified person to do an operation. It will result in the death of the patient. We want to save our schools not destroy them
