Stop black AIDS

Please help us call attention to a national crisis — HIV/AIDS in the black community. We're asking our elected leaders in Congress and beyond to fully support funding, prevention efforts and other measures needed to end this epidemic that is critically affecting our country. HIV/AIDS is quickly becoming a "black" disease. The incidence of infection has reached alarming rates among African Americans. Even more troubling, young blacks are being disproportionately affected. Today, people under the age of 25 account for half of all new HIV infections each year. African-Americans account for nearly 66% of the under-age-25 infections. To address the AIDS crisis in Black America, TheLoop21.com, an online news source and digital community, and the MAGIC JOHNSON FOUNDATION, a recognized leader in HIV/AIDS prevention efforts, are leading an internet awareness campaign this summer. We can't Stop Black AIDS without you. Get involved at TheLoop21.com.
