The negotiators in Nagoya finally committed to a meaningful strategy to protect our natural world. You can help to stop biodiversity loss!

My name is Gerben Jan Gerbrandy and I am a Dutch Member of the European Parliament. I'll be attending the biodiversity summit in Nagoya, Japan, at the end of October.

If you cherish the world's wide variety of animals and plants, I can give you a voice. How?

Sign the petition! The more support I get from you, the more pressure I can put on the Ministers of Environment, who are gathering in Nagoya to develop a new strategy on biodiversity.

Too little has been done so far to protect our biodiversity. You can help to make a difference now. If I collect enough signatures we can make a change in Nagoya together.

Other Members of the European Parliament that support this initiative are: Bart Staes, Bill Newton Dunn, Chris Davies, Catherine Bearder, Sirpa Pietikäinen, Isabella Lövin and Bas Eickhout.

I am spending my days preparing the materials I will carry to Nagoya to show the other delegates exactly what is at stake for our planet. The stories you have shared remind me that this is not just about policy documents but about the life we are losing every single day.

Seeing the count climb toward one thousand gives me real hope that we can demand proper protection for our plants and animals at the summit. Please send this link to anyone else who values our natural world because we need this momentum to show the ministers that we are serious.
