Name: Andrew Thompson on Aug 10, 2007Address: Dunning PerthshireComments: This project is verging on the criminal and must be stopped. To burn 60,000 tonnes of recyclable waste a year is simply the lazy option, and amounts to 'landfill in the sky". To make matters worse the energy from waste claims being made by the company are a sick joke as all the waste heat which is not turned into electricity (up to 70%) will be wasted as there is no use for the heat at Binn Farm. Perth & Kinross council should be ashamed of themselves for risking the health of so many of their residentsFlag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 15, 2007Address: Meikle Cossans Farmhous, GlamisComments: Yet again PKC are prepared to forge ahead no matter what. I find it beyond belief that they didn't consult with neighbouring authorities. That just spells out how competent they really are. If they can't take that common sense step how are they to be trusted to build an incinerator that won't poison us allFlag

Name: Felicity Martin on Aug 19, 2007Address: Belvue, Thimble Row Dunning PerthshireComments: Poisoning local communities is not the way to deal with waste, especially with a rather ineffiecient incinerator. The need to keep it fed will encourage PKC to send more material to it (and into our skies), rather than recycling or reducing waste.Flag

Name: Ms Marj Bond on Aug 20, 2007Address: eden cottage old town gateside fifeComments: scottish ministers should ban the binn farm incinerator from going ahead for breaching the scottish executive national waste plan-it is according to sepa only 23%efficient -seeping invisible toxic dioxins into the atmosphereFlag

Name: James Gray on Aug 21, 2007Address: eden cottage gateside fifeComments: I object to the proposal by perth cc not to proceed with the instalation of a state of the art incinerator but to proceed with the lower cost incinerator which will cause more polution I also question whether this is also about keeping am inadequate and unsatisfactory landfill site going which clearly would be embarassing to the county if discontinued Their decision would ignore independent advise and also the expansion of the sites potential for environmental damage due to wind borne pollution and increased trafic problems. Is it not the case that the larger incinerator requires a greater catchement area to be viable and the real problem is existing pollution, location of site for access and viability of a failing facility, better located in perth/and already approvedFlag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 23, 2007Address: Balvaird Cottages Strathmiglo Cupar KY14 7SRComments: This proposed incinerator will cause health hazards to the surrounding areas despite statements to the contrary. We live extremely near the proposed site i.e it is in the neighbouring field, but were told we would be less affected because of the prevailing wind. So what about the communities who are at the other side of the prevailing wind The fact that the incinerator would need a huge input of waste to make it efficient will make the roads even more hazardous than they already are. It is also more important to re-cycle than to burn. The toxic waste from the incinerator is another factor to be dealt with, yet not mentioned by SITA.Flag

Bearing in mind the latter is Scottish but is currently polluting an East London consitutency his repatriation to a Scottish incinerator would seem appropriate.Flag
