Name: Kristina Dunn on Apr 24, 2007Comments: NV Bill AB-385 will put housands of estheticians medical assistants out of a job. These estheticians and medical assistants have gone through critical training and have been board certified to perform laser hair removal and IPL treatments. We cannot allow doctor's to capitalize on these treatments.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Apr 24, 2007Comments: I am very concerned about NV Bill AB-385. I am a mother of two and decided to get into the skincare industry for the reason of helping others feel good about themselves and to have a better future for my family. I have worked in the medical field for over ten years and have finally found something I love to do. If this Bill passes it will definitely take away from my dream and the better future for my kids. I cannot imagine how many other mothers in Nevada are feeling the same way I do. This is not fair to many fellow Aestheticians that are looking for a career within the medical field. Please reconsider for the sake of the future of working mothers.Flag

Name: Steve Schneider on Apr 25, 2007Comments: This bill should be defeated. There have been no trained technicians in Nevada who have injured a patient in Nevada during hair removal procedures. Having medical doctors involved raises the price of the procedures, but doesn't add anything to the safety. What does a doctor bring to the table if the law is passed, except higher procedure ratesFlag

Name: Linda Cohen on Apr 25, 2007Comments: This is outreageous. The changes made do nothing for your constituency but a lot for the medical doctors that have already outpriced Nevadans that don't have insurance into a corner where UMC is their only option. Are we opening another Pandora's Box and adding to that burden Let's not overlegislate what people all over Nevada have enjoyed.....their choice of where to go and for what treatment.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Apr 25, 2007Comments: This is a joke. Everyone should be allowed to perform these actions if the are non- invasive, and are qualified to do it. Why should doctors reap these rewards, they make enough.Flag

They have been well trained and have been doing it for years. This will affect many Drs. (plastics, Derms) who hire nurses to perform these functions.Flag

It would be a shame to put all these small businesses out of business and increase the cost of these treatment for the working class. I would not be able to afford it if it costed anymore. Please do not pass this bill.Flag
