    Comments: It is not the dogs fault, it is the irresponsible owners. Why should innocent pits and owners have to pay the same price. You banning them from Broward will make people dump them in another county, just like people from Dade are doing. A pit is no different from an American Bull dog or Jack Russel if you're going to band one then band them all ! Might as well be fair

    Comments: Why don't the county commissioners ban alcohol or firearms that kill more people than any type of dog bites. Breed discrimation if passed will be like racial segregation and that has been abolished. The breed of dog is not the problem, its the ignorant and stupidity of owners who have no heart on how they abuse these beloved animals. I've had 6 Pitbulls and raised them around my young daughter with no problem. Why don't the commissioners get off their stupid asses and actually look at the positive these dogs have done like search and rescue, police work, and forestry work. Ignorance is going to kill everything especially with ignorant people in air conditioned offices who have no dealings with any particular pet, hell I bet they don't even own a dog or have children. Get off the blaming

Seems to me taking away the citizens right to own a dog of their choice is a bit communistic. is this what we are moving towards. its not the breed but the owners - its not the child but their parents. Come on people - is this really what we went to war for??? What happened to our freedom??? This is a very poor example of PEOPLE IN POWER, why dont you place the energy on taking care of the homeless, or working people who have lost their homes due to bad economy. Is this really what we should be focusing on. Why not attack the media who only writes about pit bull attacks and no other dog violence. Discrimination is an ugly word and that is exactly what is going on here. Shame on you Commissioner Barbara Sharief....
