دادخواست اعتراضی به کارزار تبلیغاتی

علیه ایران

This letter of protest to the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and the NY Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA-NY) is a response to misleading, provocative and hateful advertisements plastered on the walls of the subway system, on the sides of public transport buses, and displayed on billboards over public freeways, showing a picture of Iran's President Ahmadinejad associated with the words: "Iran Makes a Killing every day we wait". 

Under the cloak of caring about global warming and hence of persuading the U.S. Congress to pass a so-called 'clean energy bill', a newly born conservative group, bibles in hand, dubbed as "American Values Network", blames Iran and president Ahmadinejad for the U.S. oil addiction and the damages fossil fuels bring to the atmosphere, oceans and the earth's soil.  NY ads portray Iran as a "nuclear threat." 

Out of ignorance or lack of integrity, the authors of this anti-Iran propaganda do not ask why the U.S. government, led by President Obama, sabotaged any meaningful outcome of the December 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.  Is this group pretending to be unaware that the United States, a technologically advanced and oil-driven country, is far behind many developing countries, including Japan, Germany and even China, in using solar, wind and geo-thermal technologies?  This truly neo-conservative pro-war group needs to learn that it was not Iran or any other country that prevented the U.S. from investing in new technologies.  It has been the stranglehold and influence of U.S. gigantic coal, oil and gas monopoly corporations that in pursuit of super-rates of profit addicted not only the U.S. economy but led the U.S. government to expand its military force around the world. 

It is also a fact that the U.S. with less than 5% of the world's population consumes more than 25% of the world's oil production, an issue that was raised at the Copenhagen Climate meeting by representatives of the African, Asian and Latin American delegations.  To blame Iran, Venezuela or Iraq for America's high oil consumption is like an obese person blaming the owner of a meat market for selling him steaks.  The U.S. military, armed with 5985 aircraft in service, 285 combat and support ships, 4000 operational aircrafts and 187,493 fleet vehicles and tanks (according to Defense Energy Support Center Fact Book of 2004), in pursuit of seizing other nation's resources on land and sea and in space, annually consumes 144 million barrels of oil, 40 million more than during peace time. 

If the group named "American Values Network" had any integrity and knew that the Pentagon's per capita energy consumption of 524 trillion BTU's is 10 times more per capita energy consumption than in China, and if it knew that in 2006, the Air Force consumed about 2.6 billion gallons of jet-fuel which is the same amount of fuel U.S. airplanes consumed during World War II (between December 1941 and August 1945), and if it was following the bible that it pretends to uphold, and admitted the facts that a gigantic B52 bomber consumes 3300 gallons per hour, then the sensible protest should have been launched not against President Ahmadinejad, but against continuing the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and the genocidal U.S. attacks on the people of Pakistan. 

So who is responsible for the pollution that these U.S. military and American corporations create daily and for the damages they do to our planet earth?  No doubt the answer is not President Ahmadinejad. 

We the undersigned strongly condemn the false and vicious propaganda against the government of Iran, blaming it for the pollution that the American-European military-industrial complex spreads around the world.  We demand the immediate removal of these offensive advertisements and an apology to the Iranian community for allowing such slander to be on the public property of the taxpayers.

این نامه اعتراضی به مقامات سیاسی و اداری دفاتر مسافربریهای عمومی شهرهای نیویورک و واشنگتن پاسخی است به تبلیغات گمراه کننده، تحریک آمیز و تنفرآفرینی که روی صفحات تلویزیونی و اینترنتی ظاهر شده و بر بدنه قطارهای درون شهری، بر دیوارهای ایستگاههای قطار، بر بدنه اتوبوسهای عمومی، صفحه اعلانات ایستگاههای اتوبوسرانی و بر تابلوهای غول آسای ماورای شاهراهها چسبانده شده است. این اعلانات ضد ایران و حکومت قانونی آن حاوی تصویر رئیس جمهوریمان دکتر محمود احمدی نژاد در یکسو، بشکه ای نفت با انباشتی از دلارهای آمریکائی در سوی دیگر و در بین آنان عبارت تنفر آمیزی قرار دارد که میگوید: اگر ما بیش از این منتظر بمانیم، ایران از کشتار بیشتری بهره خواهد گرفت.

این تبلیغات کاذ ب علیه ایران با این بهانه و ادعا شکل داده شده است که ایران و احمدی نژاد با فروش نفت خود به غرب مسئول آلودگی محیط زیست، آب دریاها و خاک کره ارض میباشند.

در بیش از سی سال گذشته نظام سلطه گر- صهیونیستی از هر فرصتی برای توطئه علیه انقلاب ایران و مردم قهرمان ما بهره برداری کرده و هزاران میلیون دلار در این راه هزینه کرده است. سخنی به گزاف نگفته ایم اگر ادعا کنیم وسعت و ابعاد این کارزار ضد ایرانی در شش سال گذشته چندین برابر شده است و هر قدر سیاست خارجی مدبرانه دولت آقای احمدی نژاد در عرصه جهانی بیشتر قرین موفقیت می شود این توطئه ها اشکال کثیف تر و زشت تری بخود میگیرد.

انجمن دوستی ایرانیان و آمریکائیان در طی شش سال گذشته در کنار دیگر ایرانیان میهن دوست و سازمانهای مترقی و صلح طلب آمریکائی بار ها در مقابل تهاجم رسانه ها و تبلیغات صهیونیست ها علیه ایران ایستاده و در آینده نیز یه این وظیفه میهنی و انسانی خود ادامه خواهد داد.

ما امضا کنندگان ذیل قویا این تبلیغات شرارت آمیز را محکوم میکنیم و از استانداران، شهرداران و روسای ادارات مسافربریهای شهرهای نیویورک ، واشنگتن و سایر نقاط آمریکا موکدا میخواهیم که هر چه سریعتر این تبلیغات تهاجمی و زهرآگین را پائین کشیده و از جامعه ایرانیان مقیم آمریکا و مردم عدالت خواه ایران و بویژه از رئیس جمهور عزیزمان محمود احمدی نژاد عذر خواهی کنند.

"کمیته دوستی آمریکائیان و ایرانیان" نسخ اصلی این نامه اعتراضی را به دفاتر روسای دولت آمریکا، از جمله رئیس جمهور براک اوباما، شهردارهای واشنگتن و نیویورک و به دفتر نمایندگی ایران در سازمان ملل متحد ارسال خواهد داشت.
