Thousands of Black and Latino Men are subject to humiliation, disrespect, Racial and cultural biased in cities all around the US by law enforcement, who wrongfully and forcefully demand they have ID or be arrested because the "look suspicious" these teens and men are arrested only to be released the next day with families left wondering why their children have not returned home or why they are killed by police for no reason. These officers don't just ask for ID. I have personally witnessed carloads of unidentified officers jumping from unmarked vehicles at the surprise the pedestrians by throwing them on the ground or up against buildings and searching them before even asking for ID. No crime, no ID they go to jail. This is not OK. They wonder why these officers are attacked or the victims flea in these cases! They are arrested to obtain fingerprints and ID for crimes of the future so they are already guilty. Stop this from happening we must protect our children and demand racial profiling under any other name be stopped. We are citizens and our children are not all criminals. Please sign and let our voices be added to this cause. it saves lives and dignity. Since when does a person have to walk down the street carrying his ID to the store or beach unless he was driving. Why are there no women ever jailed if this is the case. Why does this not take place in all neighborhoods just ours. Commissioner Kelly states" it saves our lives". Yet the police take the lives of unarmed Black and Latino Men at astounding rates who have not committed any crimes. They cannot save us by violating our civil rights. We as a community need to save ourselves and our children.
