    Comments: we need the student advisors. My student advisor, Lynn, is the sole reason I did so well in my first year. She helped me so much when things were really tough for me...I thought I was going to have to repeat...instead I came out w/ a 68 avg. The student advisors are paramount to the support system and success of Sussex students.

    Comments: The objective of University cuts is likely to have diverse effects on the University students particularly on their academic career. It is an issue that actually must not be implemented before systematic consultation and assessment of the future impact on the students drawn as well as suggest the way forward.

    Comments: Without student advisors, vulnerable students will fall through the system without a safety net. I know many, many students in SLS who will be grateful to Lynn for the rest of their lives! This is the one cut we must all oppose.

    Comments: I have personal experience of the support and encouragement available from the student advisors. I think it is very short-sighted to think that the University can manage without this valuable resource

    Comments: Had it not been for our Student Advisor it is quite likely that I would not have lasted beyond the first term of my degree course. To loose this excellent asset would be reckless in the extreme.

    Comments: The student advisors are invaluable to the law school. It has become increasingly difficult to obtain training contracts and work experience, therefore the advice which they can give is invaluable in order to improve our chances. The SLS advisors therefore are irreplaceable to the students.

    Comments: the student advisors are highly valuable and losing them would cause a huge negative impact on all students. They are important and have helped students in the most sufficient ways, without them there is no one as comfortable and useful to advice students who may or will struggle and will be left with no one as great as the student advisors to turn to. No one is thinking about their necessity nor are they considering going through with these cuts will cause awful gaps in terms of student welfare. STOP THE CUTS
