Name: Gina Jacobson on Mar 2, 2004State: CACountry: USComments: This woman needs to be stopped. I am an animal welfare rescuer in Los Angeles and her methods of determining whether a dog is "adoptable" and thus in her mind, able to live, is unjust and in humane. Alot of these animals are abandoned and suffering. It is not a death sentance if at first they do not come completely out of their shell. They need time love and patience.Flag

Name: Jannis Affleck on Mar 2, 2004State: COCountry: USComments: This silly test is so unrealistic. She is killing dogs that are totally & understandably distressed. Who wouldn't be defensive in conditions they are in when she gives the life or death sentence. This is disturbing that her test has EVER been considered; much less used.Flag

I for one have pledged myself to do whatever is legally possible to put an end to this appalling practice and the support of your woefully incorect "tests"Flag

Name: Maureen Miller on Mar 2, 2004State: VACountry: USComments: It is time to stop the senseless euthanizing of dogs by this person. She in fact is not experienced enough to make that type of judgement. Anyone knows you never temprement test a dog that is under stress. much less show her feeding it chicken mcnuggets as a last meal while children are watching a television show.Flag

Name: Louise Smith on Mar 2, 2004State: INCountry: USComments: Sue Sternberg's so-called tests for aggression and her quickness to euthanize are appaling to reputable rescuers everywhere. Someone should try the test on her, and think seriously about giving her a taste of her own judgmental views. She gives a false view of what rescue is all about. Some dogs truly are aggressive, but all dogs will react if provoked long enough and severely enough in artificial conditions set up to cause the animal to fail. It is upsetting that the average person watching the HBO special, thinks that is a true picture of rescue.Flag

Name: Bonnie Brubaker on Mar 3, 2004State: IACountry: USComments: I completely disagree with this practice!!! I believe that the temperament of an animal is very closely related to how it is treated and raised by it's human owner/guardian. It is NOT fair to punish a dog for how it was raised and in many cases (if not all), tender love and care can have a profound effect. These animals are not lost causes!!! Give them a chance!Flag

Name: Troy Kechely on Mar 3, 2004State: MTCountry: USComments: As president and founder of Big Sky Rottweiler Rescue and also being the instructor of dog behavior and handling at multiple shelters throughout the region I am greatly disturbed that someone like Sue Sternberg is held in such high regard when by her own admission she is biased towards specific breeds and her own dogs would not pass her evaluation method.Flag
