But this is NOT the way to do it. I am strongly opposed to SOPA and encourage all law makers to do something to stop it before it can start.Flag

Name: Saiyuk on Jan 12, 2012Comments: This is just Americanized Censorship!, this bill will violate our freedom of expression, freedom of speach. ... What next? get rid of the constitution?... Freedom of speech is understood as a multi-faceted right that includes not only the right to express, or disseminate, information and ideas, but three further distinct aspects: the right to seek information and ideas; the right to receive information and ideas; the right to impart information and ideas Down with this Bill!! Instead of writing this bill why not write a bill that fixes the healthcare system, the economy issues?Flag

Name: Nicky Parlavecchio on Jan 12, 2012Comments: This is a bogus bill written by a politian that is focusing his energy on an issue that he does not have enough knowledge to recognize what the true repercussions are going to be. The Internet is about sharing! Passing this bill would make as much sense as a public book burning! Restricting the general public from sharing the information that this bill is going to put restrictions on will give more power to the big corporations and further thin out the middle class involvement on the internet. Its bad enough that the media companies have more than enough exposure to manipulate the markets already! STOP THIS BILL!!!!!Flag

Comments: I think that this is ridiculous! i understand that Piracy is illegal but there are other ways to get rid of it other than blocking every website from copying to the point that "sharing" wont be allowed. I personally believe if this gets passed it will become as obsolete and outdated as the FCC is becoming, but in faster time. There has to be away to just to make it so when someone copies something that it shows where its coming from like a pre-label saying copyright of "whoever persons it its" so that they wouldn't be clamming it as their own, and in doing so there wouldn't be anymore complains of piracy, because no matter how people see it and where they see it it will always have the original "owners" name on it like a TM(trademark).Flag -
