Shark Fin Soup is a cruel food. In order to make it, it requires the process of finning. It requires many sharks to die, at a rate of 3 per second. Shark Fin Soup is also making some species of sharks close or already into extinction.

If your not familiar with finning, it is a practice that cuts off the sharks fins. Fishermen haul a shark overboard, and cut their fins off. Then they throw the shark back into the water. It causes the shark to suffer, because they cannot swim without their fins. Yes, sharks have feelings too.

Shark finning is also illegal. So basically you're serving illegal food. Somehow, people have found loopholes in this.

Shark finning also messes up the environment. Since sharks are becoming extinct, more animal populations are growing because they aren't being eaten. Then they eat more, and they grow extinct. See how it makes the food chain messed up?
