Name: Simon Palmer on Jan 2, 2012Comments: The World does not revolve around the Morton Hall Estate, and as such has been already over developed, this Airfield should be left as such to remind people what life was like and to show future generations what life was like in this area.Flag

Name: Victor Snazel on Jan 2, 2012Comments: as the airfield buildings are listed surely the rest of the site should be there are very few of these sites left for preservation and to have a airfield like this ruined in this way is nothing short of disrespectful of the history of the airfield and the memory of the service personnel that served there .Flag

Name: Michael Stiff on Jan 3, 2012Comments: as in my youth i lived and grew up on what was Eldo House farm which in itself was part of the airfield and has now completely dissappeared due to development, it would be a disgrace to see the remaining parts of the airfield overun with new factories and roads, please preserve this area in memory of the heros who's bravery during those dark years give us the freedom we now enjoy !!!!!Flag

Name: Michael Hampton on Jan 24, 2012Comments: I consider that insufficient attention has been given to maintaining the presence of the historic Control Tower and of the Memorial to those who served and gave their lives whilst at Rougham Airfield. clearly there are options which avoid the damage to the locality of the Control Tower and also avoid the runway. Greater weight should be given to protecting these assets.Flag

Comments: Too many of our historic airfields have sucumbed to modern day progress, if we carry on in this manner we will have very little history left! The proposed new road is far to close to the site of the Control Tower at Rougham and so therefore, put's it at risk of vandalism and stress to the building caused by weight of traffic. Please reconsider the new road's position.Flag -

Name: Martyn Coope on Mar 19, 2012Comments: As a regular visitor to the various wings and wheels events at your wonderful airfield site I am disgusted that even 1 person in planning could even think of desecrating it.Shame on all who make unilateral and anti-tourist decisions. If the road were to be built and the ambiance spoiled I would not return to spend my money to be surrounded by noisy, smelly trucks etc.Flag

Name: Justin Wheeler on Mar 21, 2012Comments: The stupidity of our political 'masters' beggars belief. We are running out of water, power grids cannot cope, yet the march of developers moves onwards. You cannot run an economy based on continual house building and nothing else. Where are the jobs and sustainable industries for the future. Rougham is a gem. As with Duxford, people move into new developments, then complain about 'noisy' aircraft.Flag
