Name: Mary Ann Aquilino on May 1, 2003State: NYCountry: USComments: I think it's disgraceful and disrespectful that in addition to not teaching our kids today the true history of america to begin with, they're now trying to be so stupidly PC by banning 'founding fathers' and all the rest. I do NOT want my tax dollars supporting this effort! I want our kids to know our real history so they will be Proud Americans.Flag

Name: Phil Wolf on May 1, 2003State: GACountry: USComments: this politically correct nonsense has absolutely gone too far and needs to be quashed immediately. This historical revisionism will undercut the very principles that makes our country great. All in California who had a part in this should be forced to find work in the real world. Fire 'em. Name: Linda Lindquist-Bishop on May 1, 2003State: VACountry: USComments: Who we were impacts who we are. Nurses, fathers, founders, owls, Indians and hamburgers are part of this country. To not teach this to students is a violation of their right to be equipped as citizens of this country. History must not be re-written. It doesn't have to be glorified - though in the case of the Founding Fathers it should be. Denying, changing, eliminating history is a very dangerous game. History is important to set precedent, show us the way AND show us how NOT to do things again. With revisionist history - dangers await us they may have been avoided. L2BFlag
