Name: Ron Rose on Sep 13, 2010Comments: I have been visiting the Rosarito area and surfing at K38 for over 30 years. This is one of the most consistently good surf spots on the west coast. It would be a terrible loss for the surfing community as this proposed harbor would destroy the break and the pristine surfing environment that currently exists at K38. Though I am only one person, I am confident that I can speak for many of my friends that this proposal, if enacted, will end our ventures to northern baja. v/r, Ron RoseFlag

Name: Arthur Rayburn on Sep 13, 2010Comments: Build a golf course so Club Marena will have some place to dump they're waste water enstead of just dumping it over the cliff and into the bay same with the hospital. What in the hell would people do if there was a landing for the food barges. These people on these ships could care less about going ashore they can't gamble on shore and all the food is onboard. I would really like to see one of those ships try to enter that harbor with a full blown winter swell it would be sideways and LosGaviotas would have a new brake water. Let's hear it for Santini just another Mexican scam artist. How many of these half baked projects does Mexico need it's cost line are dotted with half done waste projects. Just another conjobFlag

This is one of the finest places on the West Coast of North America. Please don't do it. All we ask is that you stop screwing up all the good spots.Flag

Name: Debra Faxon on Sep 16, 2010Comments: this is a terrible idea. baja is suffering enough as it is now with the economy. the loss of surfing spots and unspoiled land is one of the main reasons a lot of us live here/ Stop the Marina Project. I live near La Salina Marina. It has Hugh problems and is the most inefficient marina I have yet to seen. repairs are needed and boaters go without water and electricity on a regular basis. they advertise all amenities and provide very few. The jetty has been broken since last winters rain and has yet to be repaired. most of the boat slips are empty yet they continue building the high rise condo. project. most of the homes along the shore are empty and there just isn't enough interest here and in Ensenada. a new Marina is a terrible idea.Flag
