They loved it especially feeding the animals.Yes we even have pics of the kids patting a young lion cub.The pic is priceless. How often in a lifetime does this happenMy friends thought the pics were awesome.Maybe if people were less critical and offered to volunteer a helping hand now and again it would help out. People do at other zoos. As for the zoo no its not fancy but what animal habitat isPeople bring their dogs to other zoos on a leach.They have signs posted if the animal is dangerous.You abide by them. As for the diseases if your that worried maybe you shouldnt go to the zoo.-especially if your pregnant.I havent heard of any rabid animals there have you Everything has its dangers.Elephants at a circus go on a rampage for example.People can get trampled.You can catch iiseases at a doctors office. Life is life.You cant go through life worring about what if. All I can say is the owners are very nice im hoping they dont close down because I want topeople and they are entertaining us with what they have got. Not alot of money but compassion for people.Hopefully they dont close down because I would love to visit again soon.Just think about if they didnt take in these animals where would they be Hoping you give this some soul searching thought. you can display my name if you choose to. I live in Calgary Alberta now. Im entitled to my opinion same as you right Think it over before you judge and the world would be a better place to live in instead of the state it is in.Flag

This place I have personnally visted numerous times and it is not as bad as you make it out to be. Its a farm and who is owned by people who love animals and it shows by them putting the effort into it and letting the public be involved with hands on experience. How much experience do you get at a big fancy zoo ????? You are 12 feet away from the 2 acre cage and you might see the animals if they are not sleeping under there " real like " den or shelter. This place is the best for the children and if you dont like poop on your high heels, then dont bother to come or wear rubber boots. Thank you Darin SchullerFlag

How else do you expect it to be it is not a high class zoo it is an animal farm. Notice the signs and the name "GuZoo Animal Farm" It's not supposed to be like an actual zoo. All of us who actually work and visit the farm on a monthly or weekly basis love the GuZoo and everyone that works there. All the animals have shelter and all the food that they need to be happy. They all have very good living habbitats. Have common sense people do you actually expect people from out in the middle of no where to spend like $50 on a pass to an actual zoo in the city. NO!! We all like going to the GuZoo where we pay alot less when you can see almost the same attractions and all of them are nice and you are able to actually connect with the animals. Can other zoo's do that, No, i didn't think so. Lots of people enjoy the GuZoo and the owner Mr. Gustaffson tries the best he can and makes everybody happy with his work there. If you don't like it don't go to it but don't sign the petition becuase people love going there so don't ruin it for the people who love going there. If you don't want your kid going there. THEN DON'T SIGN THE FIELD TRIP FORM!!!! Let the others who want to go have fun and enjoy what there is to offer there. Everyone aroudn the GuZoo are lucky to be able to have something like this to go to and have fun instead of sit inside and do nothing. This is a good place for family's and friends to have fun and hang out. This is as close as a zoo as some people might get. Don't take that away from people who love the GuZoo.Flag

The Guzoo Zoo is not touted as an animal farm, even on their main page it's described as a zoo and animal sanctuary. No accredited zoo puts it's visitors experience as a priority above animal welfare. Having animals that are forced to eat snow for sustenance because their water bowls are frozen over does not operate with the duty of care required to maintain a facility of this nature. Being a resident of Alberta for most of my life, I have been to farms, we all have I'm sure. These are not farm animals. The macaques are not sheared for their fur and the lionesses are not milked. Although attempting to do any of those would be a much less cruel farce than the abomination that exists there now.Flag

These animals don't have a choice whether they want to be there or not! They are thrown in there and it's not right! There living spaces are un-fit for ANY animal, the lack of food/water/shelter is just cruel! I saw a photo of a little sheep with it's head all bloody from smashing it's head on a rock! I do NOT know how these people sleep at night knowing what they are doing to these animals are down right cruel! These people sicken me!!!!!!! Please get help to these animals as soon as possibel!!!!!!!!Flag

The place is littered in garbage the pens are too small and gross. Water dishes are nonexistent or extremely dirty. In one picture there is a goat with its head cut open and blood all over its face how hard is it to clean the cut up and give proper treatment. This place needs to be shut down now.Flag

This is a wonderful facility for family to experience the hands on approach to many animals normally out of our reach. This is a family run zoo and the demands required to tend and care for all these animals extreme. Do you know how many animals were abandoned to this zoo? Do you know how many animals were left on the side of a road in a cage/pen only to be rescued by this zoo. Yes perhaps there is a smell ~ in quantity urine does smell! Instead of complaining that you can't stand the smell or sight of this zoo....volunteer your time to help this family feed these animals or help clean the cages. Tell me, complaining about this zoo will help in what way. Where exactly do you think these animals will go? Dime to donuts they will be put to sleep. Stop your whining....go down to your local grocery store pick up some produce and head back to this zoo and take the time to help improve these animals lives, instead of ending it. I am sick to death of people pretending they have the animals best interest at heart....your just a wolf in sheeps clothing.....shut up and lend a hand!!!!!!!!!!Flag
