The purpose of this petition is to let our voices be heard by state governments that such government shutdown can no longer be tolerated as it hurts the government employees who run parks, construction, etc. to help make each state functional for the American people. It hurts the economy. Who's getting punished for unresolved differences? Its our tax payers and those who work hard for the state. As for the law makers and government officials, they still get paid during government shut down, while everyone else is feeling the bite. We need to pass a law stating that such government shut down in the future from this day forward will be enforced to make it mandatory for all government lawmakers to continue working "without pay" until all their differences have been resolved. Furthermore, NO BACK PAY, nor can they collect unemployment, nor early withdraw from their pensions nor any source they can draw from while government shutdown occurs. The purpose of this law is to make it a deterant, for all lawmakers and government figures of all branches, of future shutdowns.
