Name: Jude Siekmann on Aug 18, 2010Comments: Circuses that use performing animals belong in the past. Children are not seeing an animal behaving naturally, rather a sad magestic animal forced to perform completely unnatural acts loosely labelled "entertainment" by some human beings.Flag

Name: Ian Bendall on Aug 18, 2010Comments: How ridiculous for Cr Anderson to ignore the evidence of animal cruelty in circuses because of the commercial interest of Webers circus. Every council around us have a ban on animals in circuses, why should we be seen as the island of animal cruelty on the north shore!Flag

Name: Jacquie Thomas on Aug 18, 2010Comments: Circuses with performing animals are barbaric, cruel and out-dated. Aren't we in the enlighted 21st century? This practice should be banned for good, not just temporarily. I am so disappointed to hear that Ku-ring-gai Council would even consider dropping the ban on this barbaric practice! I respectfully ask that the ban on circuses with performing animals be reinstated immediatley.Flag

Name: Jacquie Thomas on Aug 18, 2010Comments: I respectfully request that Ku-ring-gai Council immediately reinstate the ban on circuses with performing animals. This is an outdated, barbaric and cruel situation. No animals would choose to live their lives this way. Their living conditions, training conditions and general well-being is appalling. Circuses are a money-making venture and they do not see the animals as anything more than a money-making product. I'm appalled taht in 21st centure Australia that the practice of circuses with performing animals has not been complete and permanently banned. Please Ku-ring-gai Council, lead the way. We do not support circuses with performing animals and nor should the council. Regards Jacquie ThomasFlag

Name: Tuan Bendixsen on Aug 18, 2010Comments: I live on the North shore, this is a very bad decision to allow animals to be used in circus. This is madness and is going away from the rest of the world where people are joining to give animals a better and a life free of cruelty. I strongly urge the Council not reinstating the ban.Flag
