Stop Belarus from reentering the Human Rights Council

The petition

On the 17th of May, the United Nations General Assembly will be electing new members for the Human Rights Council, and Belarus is one of the candidates running for election. Considering Belarus' human rights standards, it is obvious we can't let this happen! Therefore, IFLRY has joined an informal coalition of international NGOs (including Human Rights Watch and the Open Society Institute) that aims at keeping Belarus out of the Council by lobbying governments and parliamentarians, and by drawing attention from the media for this issue.

By signing this petition, you show your support for the democratic movements in Belarus, and show that you are opposed to Belarus reentering the HRC.

This petition is the result of a cooperation between the two Danish youth organizations Radikal Ungdom and Venstres Ungdom. Both liberal organisations that are members of IFLRY.
