Texas House bill 1356 was filed on February 15, 2011. It would allow students and professors to carry concealed handguns at public universities, provided they had a concealed handgun license. Universities or any classroom is NOT the place for guns. There is no evidence to suggest this will stop gun violence on campuses and a vast majority of Texans do not support. Most students and faculty I have talked to do not support it either. I for one will refuse to step foot on a Texas public university if this bill passes. Our state government is going against the will of the people and this bill must be stopped! Sign this petition today and let's send a message to Austin - stop 1356!
