Stop Walmart's Selling of Betta Fish

76 Signatures Goal: 100

Walmart recently began selling Betta fish in the store. The fish are kept in pint sized cups with lids. In each lid is a tiny feeding hole, which also supplies are to the cup. Each time I have seen the fish there have been multiple dead fish, and the water they are kept in has obviously not been changed. Fish should be kept in pet stores, where the employees' specific jobs are to care for the animals. In Walmart, the employees are clearly not taking care of the fish. This petition, if a substantial amount of signitures are obtained, will be sent to multiple Walmarts around Erie County as well as some pictures and a letter by myself explaining the topic further. This could just be the beginning. Please take this small action to help these fish, and push towards a more humane world. I really appreciate it!

Walmart disgusts me for this reason alone.

Very true. Bettas are very special fish and places that sell them generally mistreat them
