The Harper Government is decimating our public services of which we the citizens of Canada pay for. Via Rail is a historical cornerstone of the fabric of Canada. Harper’s government continues to service the rich, highly populated areas of our country and ignores the rural areas. They should not be allowed to cut such valuable services which meet the needs of the elderly, disabled and less fortunate. Rail travel was created to transport people to and from places. Cutting rail services in Southwestern Ontario is against the human rights of people, especially the elderly and those with disabilities, and should not be tolerated by any citizen of Canada.
