Pollution is becoming a more and more serious problem. Especially in developing and corrupt countries where pollution is caused by the lack of regulation. For example a lot of E-waste is shipped off to African countries where workers, often children with no protective gear, burn the waste and collect the precious metals inside. Or in corrupt countries like China when factories don't follow the rules and regulations, e.g. install filters. Instead, often officials are bribed. A lot of times, recyclable rubbish is shipped off to land fills instead of getting recycled. Coal is also one of the major pollutants of the world. 8 billion ton new of coal is burnt by the world every year! Half of that is burnt by China which along with some other developing countries refuse to burn less coal and use cleaner methods of producing energy. As humans on planet earth, we need to protect the planet from being destroyed by pollution.
