Especially accounts that talk or post about self-destructive behaviour, such as self-harm and eating disorders, are a victim. Tumblr says those accounts "contribute to the growth of disordered eating and deliberate self injury as expressions of distress" (quoted from the email that owners of deleted accounts recieve).

Even when the person behind the blog is encouraging others to seek help, tumblr deletes their blog.

Most people who have a blog like this, use it to express their feelings and talk to others who feel the same. This makes them feel better and it often encourages them to recover, unlike what tumblr thinks.

Tumblr is going to far by deleting those accounts. Everyone needs a way to express themselves, even if those feelings are negative. If you agree, please sign this petition so tumblr can change their guidelines.
