In recent weeks we have witnessed more and more violence breaking out in the Ukraine. The world has read about the citizens resorting to extremely violent tactics to overthrow its government. This has resulted in terrible events that included casualties, destruction to the Ukraine, and tension in that part of Europe.

Russia asked Parliament permission and has shown a military presence to protect the Russian ethnic groups in the Ukraine. Many of the other European nations and the United States has shown a favored support to the opposition, the same people responsible for the violent outbreaks. This could lead to unnecessary tensions with Russia.

I am asking for as many signatures as possible to present to President Obama regarding this issue. Above and foremost the United States should not intervene with any military action. Our goal should be to pacifying tactic that would start by allowing Russia to protect their ethnic followers, then allowing the violent hot spots to cool down. We can then try to educate the civilians to use alternative methods instead of violence to make the changes in government they desire. Instead of coming in as a domineering presence The United States would also work with other supporters on aiding in a government rebuild that would be both strong and effective.

The United States should not support groups that use violence the make themselves heard. What if this were to happen in America?
