Concerned citizens and residents of Siem Reap would like to bring to the Provincial Governor's attention the exploitation of khmer children in a scam that involves coercing tourists to buy baby formula, then selling it back to the shop. Recently, the children involved have become more violent toward those tourists who are wise to the scam, and we are concerned not only for the safety and well-being of the children being exploited by adults to run this scam, but also for the safety of tourists and the image of Siem Reap as a safe place for tourists from all over the world to visit.

The reason for this is that I don't know what will happen if the milk scam will be stopped! Children should be on school, to me it seems that families, let the children work to support the families. Like whit every scam there might be a criminal mind behind this, who makes a lot of money. Is there an alternative for the children instead of supporting their family, to go to school? In other words what is the individual family situation from these children. If the family can not generate enough income to stay a live, we should be very careful, that this action doesn't lead to worse and the exploitation goes even further. Let's not forget that this country is also a destiny for child sex offenders.
