Comments: I strongly support this petition and hope that we all can make a difference on the final decision of the IOC removing wrestling from the Olympics.

Comments: Jim Caple, Senior Writer for ESPN, has the remedy. He states, "This whole matter could be solved to everyone's satisfaction by simply replacing the modern pentathlon with the ancient pentathlon that was in the original Olympics B.C. That's because the ancient pentathlon consisted of the long jump, javelin, discus, a foot race and, yes, wrestling." How can they cut a sport that is one of the core founding sports of the olypic games? They are cutting history. If they cut wrestling, the Olympics is dead to me! Why can't all sports be included?

Comments: Wrestling should always be an Olympic sport. To cut it out of Olympics is ridiculous!

Comments: With the advent of MMA wrestling is becoming more and more popular. IOC needs to have vision. By the way I am sick of watching swimming.

Comments: As rider I say: Remove Modern Pentathlon - it's awful for both horse and audience! Give the wrestlers back their discipline!

Comments: Ancient Olympic games included wrestling as one of the competing sports. Modern Olympic organizers need to respect all elements and aspects of the Olympics or THEY should be the ones removed.

Comments: Removing wrestling from the 2020 Olympics is without a doubt the worst decision ever made by IOC. The world cares only for brutality, glitz, glamor, and money, and IOC has now stooped to that level. That the central sport of the olympics for all time should now be considered no longer of value? Wrestling is the one true image of athleticism, and the only sport that perfectly combines intelligence with strength & speed. Shame on IOC for stooping to this. The olympics have fallen far today, and those who might otherwise be willing to support will turn our backs on this once-august institution.

Comments: Not only is this one of the original Olympic sprots and one of the oldest sports still practised today, but it is a true representation of the fitness levels, physicality and strength that so many althletes strive for in similar, more celebrated events. What makes this announcement worse is the consideration to include a "sport" that advocates the use of cigarettes, alcohol and unhealthy foods like pizza, while taking part. I am talking about bowling. The whole thing is a disgrace.

Comments: This is arguably the oldest and most athletic/skill based sport and its removal from the olympics is a travesty especially when considering some of the "questionable" sports left included.
