We owned a commercial building, we had a loan with Indymac Bank.The bank failed and was seized by the Feds in 2008. After our loan re-surfaced we discovered it had been acquired by the FDIC, who in turn sold it to a Predator Lender in Plano Texas- LNV Mortgage. They bought our loan for approx 40 cents on the dollar. We sent our mortgage payment to LNV and they promptly mailed the check back to us. We then discovered they wanted nothing to do with servicing our loan...their intention was to flip our building. We fought them in court. They have endless streams of money to pay lawyers, and we don't. We were forced to secure a chapter 11, which would have protected us. We wanted to have a chance to buy our loan for a discounted amount, much like they did. They however are the privileged ones who has the sweetheart deal with the FDIC. Of course we never had that opportunity. They got the stay (on CH. 11) lifted & we lost our building, our business, our livelyhood, & 1 Million.
