Comments: This bill infringes on traditions in South Africa. I have been carrying a biltong knife as long as I can remember. This can now be framed as an offence. I would hope that there are better uses for the Police's time than enforcing such a bill.

Comments: In the lawless society we live in this cannot be allowed as it strips us law abiding people of the right to protect our own. our society is hugely violent and all this Bill does is to give licence to unlawful people to operate with total impunity

Comments: I disagree with the Dangerous Weapons Bill completely, I feel it a step colser to anarchy as many law-abiding citizens keep firearms for safety and security reasons, taking that potential to defend themselves away would only serve to empower criminals in a society where law enforcement resources are already stretched to the limit.

Comments: There is no dangerous weapons, only dangerous people. There is enough SAPS power abuse to allow them to arrest people on "suspicion". It will be abused again. Leave the law abiding citizens alone and go after the criminals!
