Name: Colin Mitchell on Feb 8, 2013Comments: Yet another bill that will do nothing to combat crime and further jeopradize the safety & security of normal South Africans, not only by further infringing on their rights to arm themselves for self defence, by causing more money to be wasted which could be better used by the SAPS elsewhere.Flag

Name: A Trollope on Feb 8, 2013Comments: This is clearly no democracy and most definitely not to the advantage of any law-abiding South African. Should the police not make the time they have available to be more visible and available in areas needed. Currently they're only available in their time, which they feel they're being compensated for (so this excludes w/ends, one minute before lunch ends, 30 min before knock-off time when they're already closed). Is their function not to serve and protect? What happens if my car breaks down and I am being attacked and forced to defend myself with my weapon - will that be seen as dangerous and validation to confiscate my weapon?Flag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 8, 2013Comments: Criminals do'nt do crime with licensed firearms. Why would they do it with a weapon traceable back to them. Taking guns out of the hands of civilians will not make anything safer, in fact, less criminals will get their ass shot off. Give the people the right to defend themselves because no one else can do it.Flag

Name: Peter Moss on Feb 8, 2013Comments: Apparently thee ANC is not aware of teh difference between instrumentality and causality probably becasue thay are responsible for teh unrest we currently see with bad management and corrupt practices that appear to welcome and condone. Naturally the quick fix solution that has no hope of achieving any provable objective but to increase the ANC's desire to be the RULING PARTY is chosen instead.Flag

Name: Lucio Carrozzo on Feb 8, 2013Comments: This is an extremely discriminating act by those who seek to reach there intended goal. South Africa has the best constitutional bill of rights in the world which must be up held at all costs without favoring minority groups calling for DWB to be passed..Flag

Name: Andrew Van Wyk on Feb 8, 2013Comments: True hard fact. Our society is by far too violent for us to further disarmed by the organisation trusted to but cannot guarantee our safety. Safety and security is our constitutional right! SAPS that can clearly, by their own admission, not protect us all is trying to further victimize us by this bill. No!!!Flag
