There has been a new proposal made by the head of ccs taking away the normal dress code of sixth form! We have been looking forward to not having uniform since year 7, and this new code contradicts not having a uniform of previous years. We are not employers of a high street bank we are students. Students who should be able to have the ability to have some sense of individuality and independence in our last few years of education. It also make the learning environment more relaxed, especially as a-levels would be the most important exams up to that date.
We do not propose to change the whole thing, yes the school wants to look smarter but it doesn't have to go to the extremes of dressing as if you are a corporate banker.
We purpose the idea of wearing clothes which are still smart casual, such as jeans and casual shirt. This way we get the best of both worlds
I think it is stupid that we will need to wear "business dress" next year. It is uncomfortable and does not create a positive atmosphere when everyone is dressed like businessmen and therefore out productivity will be lowed. It really annoys me that the school puts image and reputation above education!
